How Does Hypnosis Work?
January 15, 2020
www.paulramsay.com What basically makes hypnosis work
is what’s traditionally called a bypass of the critical faculty
of the conscious mind. So it’s this idea that by using something
as simple as your imagination you can bypass the way that your conscious
mind thinks critically about things and create a stronger connection to the
subconscious level of your mind and that part of your mind is very literal.
So for example If I have someone hypnotized and I tell them that they are
someone famous. If I hypnotize someone and I say your Justine Bieber. They don’t just in their head think,
okay I need to act like Justin Bieber. In the hypnotic state the critical faculty
of their mind gets bypassed so they don’t think like that they think okay I’m Justin Bieber. ((girl sings Carly Rae Jepsen – Call Me Maybe)) So then they talk like him, they act like him,
sing and dance like him and they’ll even if you ask them for an autograph
they will sign the autograph with a different handwriting than their own.
It’s really, really fascinating. Sso they take suggestions very literally and they
fulfill them in the way that they feel most capable of making it match their
sense of how the world should work hypnotically. ((Music Playing)) Produced by Huddle Productions
